Let's Give 70+ Kids the #Power2Play This Year!

It’s time to rev our engines for 2024!  Thanks to you, we hit our 2022 target, giving 45 kids the #Power2Play.  This year let’s get 70+ more kids with movement limitations racing!

Geeks for Kids is an initiative of LEARN, a small nonprofit with a big dream – to give kids with mobility challenges the gift of freedom and movement.  With the help of volunteers and donors like you, we build kid-size, custom, electric cars for kids who otherwise can’t get around on their own.  Join us in the campaign to get these kids racing!

Kids Are Waiting Right Now

96,000 Missouri and Kansas kids have disabilities, according to a 2012 study from Child Trends. Together, we can give those with movement limitations the #Power2Play!  Local healthcare agencies are referring kids to us every day.  Join the campaign to get those kids racing.

Our Fundraising Goal

To build 70+ cars plus a new prototype vehicle for bigger kids and for indoor/outdoor use will cost more than $220,000 to build.  Because we provide these cars to the kids and their families for FREE, we have to raise a lot of money to make it happen.  Join us in the campaign to get kids with movement limitations racing.

Give Kids Like Vivi a Hot Rod!Meet Vivian - She received the #Power2Play!

There are 500,000 American kids under the age of 5 with movement limitations - kids like Vivi, shown at right.  Vivi was a healthy, happy baby girl until about 18 months; then, she started losing motor skills.  Her doctors discovered that she has a condition that is a little like ALS - robbing people of their motor functions over time.  By the time we met her at age 2, she had lost the ability to walk and talk, but she, her parents and her care team were fighting hard to keep her moving as long as possible.  We pitched in and built a custom car for her.  To see the results, click here.
